MOBILE SERVICES

Dragonfly Equine Medical Services provides a completely mobile unit that can perform most procedures at the client's location. Our vehicle is fully-equipped with a hand-held ultrasound, CR Radiography equipment, routine dental equipment, pharmaceutical products, and medical and surgical supplies. We are available for regularly scheduled appointments through our office, and we also provide "around-the-clock" emergency services.

LAB FACILITIES

Dragonfly Equine Medical Services is privileged to have an on-site laboratory. This laboratory is equipped to analyze blood samples for complete blood count/basic equine chemistry panels. This allows for a rapid turn-around from the time blood is drawn to the time the veterinarian has the results in hand. This immediate service allows the clinician to form the best treatment plan without the delay required when sending samples to off-site laboratories.

In addition to performing basic blood tests, our lab is also equipped to measure IgG levels for newborn foals, fecal egg counts for strategic deworming and parasite burden surveillance, and semen analysis. More specialized testing that focus on specific disease types such as genetic or endocrine, to ensure the latest technology is used to provide the most accurate results.

 

GLOBALVETLINK

Equine Infectious Anemia tests (Coggins) are run locally and processed digitally thru Global Vetlink which allows you to print Coggins certificates with individual photos of your horses from your personal computer. This system also allows you to print health certificates in the same way.
